Explanation

Statement 1: All poets are singers but some singers are not writers. However, this is possible also in the case where the set of poets and writers is the same. Hence, it is not necessary that some poets are not writers. Hence, Statement (1) is not true.

Statement 2: Giants climb trees but some chicken do not climb trees. Hence, some chicken are definitely not giants. Hence, Statement (2) is true.

Statement 3: All exporters live in bungalows and some businessmen also live in bungalows. Hence, the set of exporters and businessmen may or may not intersect. Hence, some businessmen may be exporters. Hence, Statement (3) is true.

Statement 4: Amar is taller than Akbar as well as Anthony. However, the relationship between Akbar and Anthony cannot be found. Hence, Statement (4) is not true. Hence, only Statement (2) and (3) are true.

Hence, Option (B) is the answer.
