Explanation

• The Brussels Conference marked India’s stand against imperialism at international stage. Jawaharlal Nehru attended the Congress, as a representative of the Congress. • Its basic objective was to bring together colonial people of Africa, Latin America and Asia, struggling against imperialism. Other participants included Albert Einstein, Madame Sun Yat Sun amongst others. The Brussels Conference decided to form a League against Imperialism and for National Independence. • After the Conference, Congress decided to open a foreign department to develop contacts with other people and movements fighting against imperialism.
